For Musicians

Run your gig from one screen.

Step 1 — Create your free account

Sign up with your email and pick your unique Tiply handle. You'll get a personal link at tiply.us/your-name that works anywhere — on stage, in a bio, on a poster.

Takes a few minutes. No card required, ever.

Step 2 — Connect Square (we'll walk you through it)

Tiply processes payments through Square. If you don't have a Square account yet, we walk you through creating one — right inside Tiply. No tabs to juggle, no support articles to hunt down.

Once connected, tips deposit directly to your bank. No minimum payout threshold. No handoff — the money is yours the moment it clears.

Step 3 — Get your QR code

Download your personal QR code as a printable PDF or a digital image. Stick it on your tip jar. Tape it to the front of the stage. Add it to your story. Wherever fans can see it, they can tip.

Step 4 — Go live

When you start a set, tap Go Live in the app. Tiply starts taking tips and song requests for that session. Every request lands in your queue, ranked by tip amount.

Step 5 — Manage your queue on stage

See what's coming up next without switching apps. Move songs around, skip ones you don't play, mark songs as done. Band Mode lets bandmates watch the same queue from their own phones.

Step 6 — Track your earnings

After the set, Tiply shows you exactly what you earned, which songs got the most tips, and which venues pay best over time. Run your gig history like a working musician, not a guess.

The money math (plain English)

  • Tiply is free for artists. No subscription, no signup fee, no setup charges.
  • When a fan tips, they pay a 4% processing fee on top of the tip. Most fans don't blink — they're already used to card fees.
  • Of that 4%, 3% covers Square's payment processing. 1% goes to Tiply.
  • The artist keeps 100% of the tip. Every dollar a fan tips lands in your bank.

Frequently asked questions

How long does setup take?

A few minutes. The slowest part is creating a Square account if you don't have one — and we walk you through it step by step.

Do I need a Square account already?

No. If you don't have one, Tiply walks you through creating it. If you do, you just connect it.

Do fans need to download an app?

No. Fans scan your QR code with their phone camera, pick a song + tip, and pay. Done in under 10 seconds.

What payment methods do you accept?

Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Do I need any hardware?

No. No card reader, no tablet, no dongle. Just your phone and a printed or digital QR code.

How do song requests work?

When a fan tips, they can include a song request. Requests appear in your live queue, ordered by tip amount — higher tips move up.

How do I get paid?

Tips go directly to your bank account via Square. No minimum payout threshold — you get paid every dollar, every time.

Does Tiply take a cut from the artist?

No. The 4% processing fee is paid by the fan. The artist keeps 100% of every tip.

Can I use Tiply with a band?

Yes. Band Mode lets you share a live read-only view of your queue with bandmates — everyone sees what's next.

Is my music catalog integrated with Spotify?

Yes. You can import your catalog and setlists from Spotify so fans can request songs you actually play.
